The BSTRD. Compact is made for the moments that take you beyond the garden. Smaller in size, built for the journey, and ready to cook properly wherever you land. It's got all the capability and power of our larger ovens but with the ease and portability. Big enough to feed two to four people or roast for six. 

With it's compact size and built in carry handles you can take the fire with you and create memories around food within the most beautiful settings. There is no compromise with this oven. Sear, roast, cook direct or indirect, and run low and slow, all powered by charcoal and controlled airflow. The BSTRD. Compact comes with everything you need. The same premium ceramics as our bigger ovens, deflector plates and high quality stainless steel grates.

  • Please only use sustainable British charcoal - Any other charcoal may contain chemicals that will taint the ceramics
  • Do not use chemical based cleaners on the gasket (lid seal). If necessary gently wipe off any spills or moisture. Do not scrub or abrade the gasket, excessive rubbing can cause wear and/or damage.
  • Do not use chemical based cleaners or water when cleaning the ceramic, if necessary gently wipe off any spills or moisture from the ceramic.
  • The inside ceramic of the barbecue can be cleaned by raising the barbecue temperature to 315° Celsius with the dome closed. Beware, do not do this with a new barbecue or with a barbecue that has not been used for a while! This can cause damage to the barbecue.
  • When the barbecue has not been used for a while, heat up the barbecue slowly to a maximum of 200° Celsius. Leave at this temperature for at least 1 hour to let moisture buildup inside of the ceramic parts evaporate. Not doing so can cause damage to the barbecue.

To utilise your warranty, please register your BSTRD Kamado within 3 months after purchase.

By further opening and/or closing the damper (air inlet) and Air Cap (chimney), the temperature of the barbecue can be adjusted.

Never leave the barbecue unattended. During first use you have to get used to the way the temperature of the barbecue is adjusted, so we recommend to keep a close eye on the thermometer.

During the first three times you use the barbecue, let the temperature gradually increase to 200° Celsius, not more.

To stop grilling, close the bottom vent and Air Cap completely. This makes the fire die out and makes the barbecue cool down and
the coals can be used again and again.
