Why We Built BSTRD.
We saw a space filled with noise and compromise.
Too many features that didn’t matter or work as well as they should. Too much focus on specs over experience. Products that looked the part but didn’t always deliver where it counts. At the fire.
So we set out to build something more considered. That look beautiful too.

Sustainability
We don’t overstate it.
But it matters. Cooking over charcoal connects you directly to what you’re using, the fuel, the fire, the process. It makes you more aware of how things are made and where they come from.
At BSTRD. we are obsessed with doing things properly. Building products that last for years, not seasons. Using materials that can handle heat, weather and time without needing to be replaced. Designs that are fuel efficient, so you use less charcoal to cook.
And when it comes to fuel, the quality matters. We believe in using well-made, natural lumpwood charcoal ideally sourced from responsible British producers. Proper charcoal burns cleaner, lasts longer, and gives you better control, without the chemicals and inconsistencies found in lower-quality alternatives.
